Tim Lanfri will talk about two methods that create high–quality soil — hauling in a planting mix to fill raised beds or amending existing soil. Purchasing soil is more expensive but shows immediate results. Improving existing soil is less expensive but will take years. Poor quality soil with low fertility is the main reason backyard vegetable gardens fail.
