This class covers the basics of increasing agricultural biodiversity and how to increase it. Topics include beneficial insects, their relationships to crop pests in both vegetable and orchard
systems, information on habitat and practices northwest farmers use to keep them (and native pollinators) on the farm. Farm tour if weather permits; dress for the weather. Bring a hand lens and/or
insect net if you like.
